OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Drew Brees hurled three TD passes Sunday and the once-struggling New Orleans Saints reached the .500 mark with a 38-17 thumping of Oakland.

Brees went 20-of-27 for 219 passing yards and hooked up twice with Lance Moore for scoring strikes as the Saints (5-5) got back into the NFC playoff hunt with their third straight win and fifth in six games.

Jimmy Graham led the Saints' receiving corps, logging a touchdown on six grabs for 29 yards. Mark Ingram picked up 67 rushing yards with a score.

The Raiders (3-7), meanwhile, fell for the third straight time despite 312 yards on 22-of-40 efficiency from Carson Palmer, who was intercepted twice.

Marcel Reece ran for 103 yards on 19 carries for Oakland.
