CHICAGO, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- The Chicago Cubs agreed to terms Friday on a one-year deal with catcher Dioner Navarro but financial terms were not disclosed.

The Cubs said Navarro, 28, who was a 2008 American League All-Star with Tampa Bay, played in 24 games for the Cincinnati Reds last season and spent much of the year with Triple-A Louisville, The Sports Network reported.

The Chicago Tribune reported Thursday the deal was believed to be worth $1.75 million.
