NBA: Minnesota 90, Dallas 82

DALLAS, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Nikola Pekovic scored 20 points and Andrei Kirilenko added 16 Monday in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 90-82 victory over Dallas.

Pekovic hauled down six rebounds while Kirilenko finished with 11 boards as the T-Wolves improved to 5-2 -- their best start to a season since 2001-02.

Alexey Shved (16 points), Luke Ridnour (15) and Dante Cunningham (14) also reached double figures for Minnesota.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, fell to .500 on the season at 4-4 despite 21 points from Darren Collison.

O.J. Mayo helped out with 18 for Dallas in the setback.
