DENVER, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Corey Brewer's 20 points and a strong defensive effort Friday vaulted Denver to a 104-84 victory over Utah.

The Nuggets won their third straight game after they had lost their first three of the season.

Denver held the Jazz to 11 points in the second quarter while building a 53-38 halftime advantage. Utah never threatened in the second half while running its road record this season to 0-4.

Kenneth Faried added 18 points and 11 rebounds for Denver and newcomer Andre Iguodala had 15.

Gordon Hayward produced 15 points to lead Utah, which made just 4-of-22 shots from beyond the arc.
