BOSTON, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Evan Turner's 25 points and Jrue Holiday's career-best 14 assists Friday launched Philadelphia to a 106-100 win over Boston.

The 76ers won their second straight thanks to a strong showing by their starters, who combined to score 82 points. Philadelphia overcame a 20-assist performance from Boston's Rajon Rondo.

Turner had 11 rebounds to go with his 25 points and Holiday scored 21 points along with his 14 assists. Boston could never recover from a 10-point Philadelphia run early in the fourth quarter that gave the 76ers a 93-79 lead.

Paul Pierce led Boston in scoring with 24 points while Kevin Garnett had 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Rondo has had 11 or more assists in 27 straight games, which equals an NBA record established by John Stockton.
