Lions' Suh named NFL's dirtiest player

DETROIT, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was voted by his peers as the NFL's dirtiest football player, a survey by the Sporting News said.

It is the second consecutive year Suh achieved the distinction, the magazine reported Thursday, adding that its correspondents asked 103 players on 27 teams for input. Choices were made anonymously, and players could not choose a teammate.

The Detroit Free Press noted 32 of the respondents named Suh as the dirtiest, one player commenting, "I mean, the step-on and the choke and the kick and the arm bar. Enough said, right?"

Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito was second on the Sporting News' list with 19 votes, followed by St. Louis Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan with 14, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison with six, and Tennessee Titans offensive tackle David Stewart with three. Nineteen players received at least one vote.
