NBA: Cleveland 108, LA Clippers 101

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Dion Waiters drained seven 3-pointers en route to 28 points Monday, powering the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 108-101 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Rookie Waiters, playing in his fourth NBA game, connected on 10-of-17 from the floor -- including 7-of-11 from beyond the arc -- while backcourt mate Kyrie Irving added 24 points and 10 assists for Cavs.

Anderson Varejao contributed 15 points and 15 rebounds while Tyler Zeller came off the bench for 15 and seven as Cleveland improved to 2-2 to start the season.

Blake Griffin netted 20 points but committed five turnovers for the Clippers, who dropped a second straight after winning their first two contests.

Jamal Crawford pumped in 19 points off the bench for Los Angeles.
