NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Chase Budinger led a furious second-half surge with 14 late points Monday and the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied for a 107-96 win over Brooklyn.
Budinger scored 16 points in all.
Nikola Pekovic pumped in a game-high 21 over a 16-minute span for the Timberwolves, who erased a 22-point deficit and stunned the Nets with their first defeat at the new Barclays Center.
Minnesota overcame the loss of injured stars Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio with the help of Andrei Kirilenko, who notched 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
Brooklyn, meanwhile, managed only 37.1 percent shooting in the late stages of their second regular-season game at the new facility.
Joe Johnson (19 points) and Deron Williams (18, 13 assists) paced the Nets.
