SOFIA, Bulgaria, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Nadia Petrova breezed past Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets Sunday to win the season-ending WTA Tournament of Champions title.
Petrova hardly slowed down in posting a 6-2, 6-1 thumping of world No. 10 Wozniacki, breaking serve five times en route to the one-sided triumph in Sofia.
The 13th-ranked Russian nailed down her third title of the season after earlier wins at Den Bosch and the Pan Pacific Open. It was the 13th triumph of her career.
Wozniacki, meanwhile, saw her four-match winning streak against Petrova come to an end, falling to 20-12 lifetime in finals and 2-2 this year.
