OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Mike Conley made back-to-back 3-pointers during a 9-point run in the third period Friday that vaulted Memphis to a 104-94 win over Golden State.
The Grizzlies turned a three-point cushion into a 12-point lead with that surge and held on for a decision that left both teams having split their first two games of the season.
Five Memphis players scored in double figures and the Grizzlies overcame a 26-point effort by Stephen Curry.
Memphis went to the foul line 17 more times than did Golden State and made 16 more than the Warriors.
Curry hit 10-of-20 shots from the field, had six rebounds and handed out seven assists. Carl Landry added 20 points for the Warriors.
