NBA: Milwaukee 99, Boston 88

BOSTON, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Brandon Jennings boosted Milwaukee to a quick start Friday and the Bucks went on to surprise Boston 99-88.

Milwaukee raced to a 14-point lead at halftime and had a 16-point cushion heading into the fourth quarter in what was the Bucks' season opener. Boston fell flat after dropping their first game of the campaign in Miami.

Jennings scored 21 points and handed out 13 assists. Tobias Harris added 18 points and Ersan Ilyasova had 11 rebounds while Milwaukee was dominating the backboards 46-36.

Boston got off 12 fewer shots than did Milwaukee and the 11-point final margin was as close as the Celtics could come in the fourth period.

Kevin Garnett led Boston in scoring with 15 points and Rajon Rondo had 14.
