ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Flotilla, a French filly, rallied outside the leaders to win Friday's $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf by 1 1/4 lengths.

Watsdachances, an Irish-bred filly who won two straight in New York, finished second and Summer of Fun was along for third.

Flotilla, a daughter of Mizzen Mast, finished the 1 mile over firm turf in 1:34.64 with Christophe Lemaire picking up his first win as a Breeders' Cup rider.

Flotilla raced in mid-pack through much of the race, found room between horses to engage the leaders midway through the stretch run and finished with a flourish. The win was her second in five starts, the first four coming in France.
