CLEVELAND, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- The Cleveland Indians exercised a contract option Wednesday on pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez but declined similar actions on two other players.

Jimenez will make $5.75 million in 2013 and the team has a second option for 2014 when Jimenez is to be paid $8 million.

Jimenez was traded to the Indians from Colorado in July 2011. In 2010 he was 19-8 with the Rockies but in the two years since he's a combined 19-30 with a 5.03 earned run average. He was 9-17 last season. The 17 losses were the most by a pitcher in the major leagues in 2012.

Cleveland denied options on pitcher Roberto Hernandez and designated hitter Travis Hafner. Hernandez was 0-3 with a 7.53 ERA in three starts for the Indians. Hafner hit .227 with 12 home runs and 34 runs batted in in 66 games. His playing time was limited due to hip surgery.

The Indians said Manager Terry Francona filled out his coaching staff. Sandy Alomar is returning as bench coach while Mickey Callaway will be the pitching coach; Ty Van Burkleo is to be the hitting coach; and Kevin Cash will be bullpen coach. Mike Sarbaugh will coach first base and Brad Mills third.
