DALLAS, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Guard Delonte West has been suspended indefinitely by the Dallas Mavericks, the NBA team said Thursday.
West, an eight-year NBA veteran, was suspended earlier in October for a reported outburst in the locker room but was soon reinstated. However, Mavericks President of Basketball Operations Donnie Nelson Thursday announced another suspension.
"We have suspended Delonte for conduct detrimental to the team," Nelson said. "The suspension is effective immediately and no other statements will be issued."
It wasn't released what led to the latest disciplinary action.
West averaged 9.6 points and 3.2 assists a game last season, which was his first in Dallas. He previously played for Boston, Seattle and Cleveland. He has averaged 9.7 points and 3.6 assists over his 432-game NBA career.
