Matosevic dumps Haase in Vienna opener

VIENNA, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Australian Marinko Matosevic opened the Erste Bank Open in Vienna Monday with a comeback victory over sixth-seeded Robin Haase of the Netherlands.

Matosevic fell 1-6 in the first set but then rebounded to win the next two frames 6-3, 6-2 on Day 1 at Wiener Stadthalle.

Also rallying for a first-round victory was Luxembourg's Gilles Muller, who lost a first-set tie-breaker but then went to on to post a 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 6-3 decision over Belgian Steve Darcis.
