NFL: San Francisco 45, Buffalo 3

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- Alex Smith passed for three touchdowns Sunday and the San Francisco 49ers rolled up a club-record 621 yards of offense in their 45-3 pasting of Buffalo.

Smith amassed 303 yards, going 18-of-24, while Frank Gore dominated on the ground, running for 106 yards and a score on 14 carries for the 49ers (4-1).

Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis teamed up for 219 yards and a TD on 11 receptions for the 49ers, who have won their last two games by a combined score of 79-3.

Buffalo (2-3) got only 126 yards from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, who could manage just 10 total first downs in Buffalo's second straight one-sided loss.
