PHOENIX, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Chris Nelson went 3-for-6 and drove in the go-ahead run in the 13th inning Monday, sparking the Colorado Rockies to a 7-5 win over Arizona.
Tyler Colvin led off the 13th with a double against Brad Bergesen (2-1) and Nelson followed with a line-drive single to center field on an 0-2 pitch, putting the Rockies ahead to stay.
Charlie Blackmon (4-for-6) and Jonathan Herrera added RBI in the four-run uprising as the Rockies took the opener of a season-ending three-game series.
Josh Outman (1-3) earned the win.
Aaron Hill, Paul Goldschmidt and Gerardo Parra each homered in the Diamondbacks' loss.
