CLEVELAND, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Jason Donald's line-drive hit in the 12th inning chased home the winning run Tuesday in Cleveland's 4-3 comeback victory over the Chicago White Sox.

The Indians were trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth when Michael Brantley led off with a pinch-hit single against Chisox starter Jake Peavy.

Travis Hafner followed by blasting game-tying, pinch-hit homer off right field foul pole, sending the contest into extra innings.

In the 12th, Lonnie Chisenhall stroked a one-out double off Matt Thornton (4-10), and after Russ Canzler was intentionally walked, Nate Jones came in to pitch.

Donald greeted him with line shot into left field for the decisive blow.

The hit made a winner of Chris Seddon (1-1) as the Tribe evened their season-ending three-game series.

Dayan Viciedo belted a two-run homer for Chicago.
