MLS: Los Angeles 1, Colorado 1 (tie)

COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Marcelo Sarvas scored an early goal Sunday and the Los Angeles Galaxy extended its unbeaten streak to seven games with a 1-1 draw with Colorado.

Sarvas notched his goal in the 10th minute, corralling a deflected shot by Robbie Keane and firing it past Colorado goalkeeper Matt Pickens for a 1-0 lead.

The Galaxy, however, had to settle for a single standings point when Colorado's Jaime Castrillon responded with an equalizer 6 minutes later off a set-up by Conor Casey and Hunter Freeman.

With the draw, Los Angeles (15-11-5) fell two points behind Real Salt Lake in the race for second place in the Western Conference.

The Rapids improved to 9-18-4.
