NFL: Kansas City 27, New Orleans 24 (OT)

NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Ryan Succop connected on six field goals, including a decisive boot in overtime Sunday that lifted the Kansas City Chiefs to a 27-24 victory over New England.

The Chiefs (1-2) -- who scored the final 21 points of the game -- got a franchise-record 91-yard touchdown run from Jamaal Charles, who ended with 233 yards on 33 carries.

Matt Cassel compiled 248 yards and one interception on 26-of-44 passing efficiency.

New Orleans fell to its first 0-3 start since 2007 despite 240 aerial yards and three touchdowns from Drew Brees, who completed 20-of-36 passes.
