CHICAGO, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Pete Kozma and Allen Craig each drove in two runs Sunday and St. Louis helped its wild card hopes with a 6-3 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Kozma socked a solo homer to back Kyle Lohse (16-3), who was nicked for three runs on five hits through six innings to establish a career-high for victories.

Carlos Beltran and David Freese each chipped in an RBI as the Cardinals remained 2 1/2 games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers for the National League's final wild card spot.

Chicago's Justin Germano (2-9) absorbed his seventh consecutive losing decision, yielding four runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings.
