Sept. 23, 2012 at 12:47 AM

DENVER, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill's bases-clearing triple keyed a five-run sixth inning that carried the Arizona Diamondbacks past Colorado 8-7.

Hill also drove in a run in the first inning to finish with four RBI. Jason Kubel went 2-for-4 and knocked in a pair for the D-backs, who have scored 23 runs in two victories over Colorado.

Brad Bergesen (2-0) relieved an ineffective Patrick Corbin and tossed two scoreless innings to claim the victory. J.J. Putz hurled a 1-2-3 ninth for his 31st save.

Carlos Torres (4-3), the second of seven Rockies pitchers, was saddled with the loss after yielding five runs over one full inning.

Wilin Rosario went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, and Jordan Pacheco added three hits and two RBI for Colorado.
