MLS: Portland 2, San Jose 2 (tie)

SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Chris Wondolowski scored two goals in the final 20 minutes Wednesday, the second coming in stoppage time to bring San Jose a 2-2 tie with Portland.

The San Jose comeback extended the Earthquakes' lead over Seattle at the top of the Western Conference to nine points.

San Jose (17-6-6) took 23 shots to just seven for Portland.

Danny Mwanga produced both Portland goals in the 45th and 62nd minutes. The Timbers (7-14-8) are in seventh place in the West.
