Jaguar fan banned after on-field run

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- A fan has been banned permanently from Jacksonville Jaguars games after he ran on to the field during the game against the Texans Sunday.

Jaguar safety Dwight Lowry tackled Chad DeWick, 25, after DeWick had run 100 yards on the field, WJXT-TV, Jacksonville, reported Wednesday.

DeWick, released from jail Monday after being charged with disorderly intoxication, said he would do it again.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars were losing so and I figured I'd make it a little more entertaining," he said.

The team said DeWick won't get that chance, because he will never be allowed back in, despite an NFL policy on how rowdy fans such as DeWick should be treated.

The league calls for disruptive fans to take an online class -- at a cost of $75 to $100 -- on how to behave in a stadium.
