ST. PETERSBURG, Russia, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Mikhail Youzhny capped Tuesday's play at the St. Petersburg Open tennis tournament with a straight-set win in his native Russia.

Youzhny saw just one break point in taking a 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 first-round win over Vasek Pospisil. After the tight first set, Youzhny dominated the second, losing just four points in four service games and 12 overall.

While Youzhny cruised into the second round, No. 5-seeded Lukas Lacko and sixth-seeded Lu Yen-Hsun were both ousted.

Grega Zemlja, despite losing both break points he faced, rolled over Lacko 6-3, 6-2. Zemlja won more points (21-20) off Lacko's serve than Lacko managed. Roberto Bautista-Agut, who had only one other ATP main-draw victory this year, defeated Lu 6-4, 6-2 behind five service breaks.

Daniel Gimeno-Traver picked up a win in the other match Tuesday, beating Florent Serra 7-6 (7-5), 6-2. He had four breaks, three of which came in the second set.
