MLB: Philadelphia at N.Y. Mets, ppd., rain

NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Rain in the New York area led officials to postpone Tuesday's game between the Philadelphia Phillies and the New York Mets.

The game was rescheduled for 7:10 p.m. EDT Thursday, which had been an off day for both teams. Philadelphia won the series opener 3-1 Monday. The teams also have a game set for 7:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Philadelphia pitcher Cole Hamels will start Wednesday against the Mets, who will counter with Matt Harvey.

Tyler Cloyd was set to be the Phillies starter Thursday while New York is going with Jeremy Hefner.
