TORONTO, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Pedro Ciriaco's two-out ninth-inning double Saturday drove in Jarrod Saltalamacchia with the go-ahead score and the Boston Red Sox edged Toronto 3-2.

With the score tied 2-2, Saltalamacchia (2-for-4, one RBI) led off the ninth with a double against Steve Delabar (4-2). Two outs later, Ciriaco lined a 2-1 pitch down the left field line for the decisive blow.

The hit made a winner of Craig Breslow (1-0), who tossed a scoreless eighth. Andrew Bailey secured the victory, picking up his fourth save as the Red Sox clinched their three-game series.

Starter Clay Buchholz yielded two runs (one earned) on four hits over seven innings.

Cody Ross smacked a solo homer for Boston.

Toronto's Carlos Villanueva surrendered only two runs on four hits through seven innings.

Aaron Lind and Yunel Escobar each drove in a run for the Blue Jays.
