DENVER, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Josh Rutledge and Jordan Pacheco each delivered first-inning RBI Monday and the Colorado Rockies went on to a 6-5 victory over San Francisco.
The Rockies set the tone in the first frame as Tyler Colvin led off with a double against Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong (12-8) and Rutledge followed by slicing a pitch into the right-field corner for a 1-0 lead.
He went to third base on an out and came home when Pacheco bounced a 1-1 pitch up the middle. Colorado never trailed thereafter.
Chris Nelson went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple and starting pitcher Alex White socked a 423-foot solo homer.
White allowed one run over four innings, but Guillermo Moscoso (2-1) earned the victory with two relief frames.
Rafael Betancourt collected his 28th save after the Giants scored three late runs off the Rockies' bullpen.
Vogelsong yielded four runs on six hits over five frames for National League West-leading San Francisco.
Buster Posey went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and Hunter Pence added a solo shot for the Giants.
