NASHVILLE, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Stevan Ridley set a career high with 125 rushing yards and a touchdown Sunday in the New England Patriots' season-opening 34-13 win over Tennessee.

Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes, piling up 236 yards on 23-of-31 passing for New England (1-0).

Stephen Gostkowski booted a pair of fourth-quarter field goals for the Patriots.

The Titans (0-1) fell despite a good performance from Jake Locker in his first NFL start.

He went 23-of-32 through the air for 229 yards with one touchdown and one interception before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with an apparent shoulder injury.
