WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Paula Creamer and Jiyai Shin remained tied after eight playoff holes when darkness fell Sunday at The Kingsmill Championship.

The pair each finished regulation at 16-under-par 268 at the Kingsmill Resort, with Creamer carding an even-par 72 and Shin registering a 2- under 69 in the final round.

Creamer fell into a tie when she missed a par putt on the final hole regulation.

She and Shin then battled through eight rounds of pars on the 18th hole before play was suspended due to darkness.

Officials said the playoff would resume at 9 a.m. EDT Monday.
