
ATLANTA, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Jordan Pacheco drove in two runs and extended his hitting streak to 13 games in Colorado's 6-0 blanking of the Atlanta Braves Tuesday.
Pacheco had two hits, including a solo home run, to give the Rockies their first win of the season over the Braves and hand Atlanta its fourth loss in its last six games.
Carlos Gonzalez added a solo home run and Dexter Fowler drove in a run as well for the Rockies.
Carlos Torres (4-1) earned the win in relief of Drew Pomeranz, who departed after three innings. Torres contributed three shutout innings of his own with three strikeouts.
Tommy Hanson (12-8) took the loss with two runs on five hits and eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
Chipper Jones, Jason Heyward and Dave Ross had two hits apiece for the Braves. Atlanta had nine hits in the game but left eight runners on base and committed three errors.
