NEW YORK, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- A New York judge ordered an alleged prostitute to pay the legal expenses in her unsuccessful lawsuit against former boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya.
Angelica Cecora is on the hook for $12,000 De La Hoya spent defending himself against a $5 million suit she filed alleging batter and false imprisonment.
Cecora had alleged De La Hoya hired her for what turned into a raucous drug-fueled lost weekend at the swanky Ritz-Carlton hotel near Central Park last year.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Paul Wooten ruled Friday the lawsuit had no merit and was intended to "harass or maliciously injure" De La Hoya.
De La Hoya's lawyer told the New York Post he wasn't expecting to collect any time soon and was somewhat surprised Cecora had found an attorney willing to pursue the case.
