MLS: Philadelphia 0, New England 0 (tie)

Sept. 1, 2012 at 10:19 PM

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Philadelphia's Amobi Okugo put a header off the crossbar just before halftime Saturday and the Union had to settle for a 0-0 draw with New England.

Okugo's shot off a Freddy Adu service from the left corner was as close as the Union (7-13-5) could come to a goal as they head into a two-week break.

Kevin Alston and Stephen McCarthy garnered shots late in the game for the Revolution, but neither resulted in a score.

Stephen McCarthy also put a late shot on net for New England (6-14-7).
