As goalkeeper Kevin Hartman came out to defend, Villarreal got the ball to Juninho at the goalmouth, who put it in for a 1-0 lead.

Todd Dunivant added an insurance tally off assists from Michael Stephens and Robbie Keane for the Galaxy (12-11-4), who have gone 9-3-2 since mid-June to climb above the .500 mark.

Dallas (8-12-8) saw its three-game winning streak snapped.
