GRAPEVINE, Texas, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Jelena Jankovic moved a step closer to her first tournament title in in two years Wednesday by reaching the semifinals of the Texas Open.

Jankovic, seeded second, breezed by Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-1 to set up a meeting with Casey Dellacqua in the semifinals.

The last title for Jankovic came at Indian Wells, Calif., in 2010. She has 12 championships to her credit.

Dellacqua reached the semifinals by defeating Aleksandra Wozniak 6-4, 6-4.

The other semifinal will send third-seeded Roberta Vinci against Bojana Jovanovski.

Vinci ousted Chanelle Scheepers 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 and Jovanovski advanced when Peng Shuai retired with a shoulder injury while trailing 6-4, 1-0.
