Serena Williams, on record streak, remains No. 1
LONDON, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Russia won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in the team event of rhythmic gymnastics.
Gymnasts from Russia have swept the team and all-around rhythmic gold medals at each of the last four Olympics.
Those taking part in the winning team were Anastasia Bliznyuk, Uliana Donskova, Ksenia Dudkina, Alina Makarenko, Anastasia Nazarenko and Karolina Sevastyanova.
None of those six was a member of the team that won the gold medal in 2008.
The silver medal went to Belarus and the bronze medal was won by Italy.
