Olympic Medal: M Water Polo

LONDON, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Croatia won the Olympic gold medal Sunday in men's water polo, producing an 8-6 victory over Italy in the championship contest.

The bronze medal was won by Serbia with a 12-11 decision over Montenegro.

Hungary, which had won the previous three Olympic titles in the sport, lost in the quarterfinals to Italy.
