Olympic Medal: M 5000

LONDON, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Mo Farah of Britain won the Olympic gold medal Saturday in the 5,000-meter run, his second long-distance running victory at the London Games.

Farah had previously captured the 10,000-meter event at these Olympics.

Dejen Gebremeskel of Ethiopia won the silver medal and the bronze went to Thomas Longosiwa of Kenya.

American Bernard Lagat finished fourth.
