
ATLANTA, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Curtis Painter threw for three second-half touchdowns Thursday to lead the Baltimore Ravens to a 31-17 pre-season win over Atlanta.
Painter hit Billy Bajema with a 4-yard TD pass that tied the score in the third quarter and then hit Deonte Thompson later in the period with a 22-yard strike.
Joe Flacco started for the Ravens and completed 9-of-12 passes for 88 yards and the only touchdown Baltimore scored in the first half.
Atlanta's Matt Ryan was an impressive 9-of-13 for 155 yards. Ryan threw a 7-yard scoring pass to Julio Jones, who finished the night with six catches for 109 yards.
The Falcons led 17-7 at halftime but failed to score in the second half. They wound up with 10 penalties for 120 yards compared with 25 yards in penalties for the Ravens.
