LONDON, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Billy Bakker and Roderick Weusthof had three goals each Thursday to give the Netherlands a 9-2 win over Britain 9-2 in the Olympic field hockey semifinals.

The Netherlands will play Germany for the gold medal after the Germans downed Australia 4-2.

After taking a 4-1 halftime lead, the Netherlands produced five goals in 16-minute span of the second half to turn the game into a rout.

It will be the fourth time in the last five Olympics that the Netherlands has played for the gold medal. Following wins in 1996 and 2000, the Netherlands settled for the silver medal in 2004.

Germany produced three second-half goals against Australia and Timo Wess clinched it by scoring in the 59th minute.
