Olympic Medal: M Swim 1,500 Free

LONDON, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Sun Yang of China set a world record Saturday in winning the Olympic gold medal in the men's 1,500-meter swimming event.

Oussama Mellouli of Tunisia took the silver medal and Ryan Cochrane of Canada captured the bronze.

Mellouli won the gold medal in the event four years ago and is one of just four Olympic medal winners in history from his country.
