MLS: Sporting KC 1, New England 0

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Teal Bunbury notched his fourth goal of the season in the 20th minute Saturday, staking Sporting Kansas City to a 1-0 decision over New England.

On the play, Bunbury stole a loose ball from Stephen McCarthy at midfield, sped into the penalty area on a breakaway and put it past Revolution goalkeeper Matt Reis.

Kansas City (12-7-4) used the three points from the victory to join Houston atop the Eastern Conference standings.

New England (6-11-5), meanwhile, suffered a fourth defeat in five games.
