HOUSTON, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Jermaine Taylor and Calen Carr scored Friday and the Houston Dynamo grabbed first place in the Eastern Conference with a 2-0 win over New York.
Taylor gave the Dynamo a lead in the second minute -- the second-fastest score in Houston history -- knocking in a shot by Andre Hainault on the team's first trip down the field.

The Red Bulls stayed at 38 points with their second straight loss.
