SAN JOSE, Calif., July 29 (UPI) -- Steven Lenhart scored late in stoppage time Saturday, elevating the San Jose Earthquakes into a 1-1 draw with Chicago.

Chris Wondolowski played a ball struck by Shea Salinas to Lenhart in the 98th minute, and the striker followed by firing a one-timer past Chicago goalkeeper Sean Johnson.

The dramatic goal earned a point for Western Conference-leading San Jose (13-5-6), which barely avoided a second straight loss.

Chris Rolfe scored in the 37th minute for the Fire (9-7-6).
