ANAHEIM, Calif., July 22 (UPI) -- Albert Pujols and Bobby Wilson each homered in the seventh inning Sunday and the Los Angeles Angels pulled away for a 7-4 win over Texas.

With the Angels clinging to a 3-2 lead in the seventh, Wilson (3-for-4, two RBI) led off the frame with a solo homer, chasing Rangers starter Matt Harrison (12-5).

One out later Torii Hunter collected a single off Alexi Ogando and Pujols followed with a two-run shot, icing the contest for the Angels, who took two out of three from the Rangers.

Pujols finished with three RBI as second-place Los Angeles banged out 15 hits and moved to within five games of American League West-leading Texas.

Dan Haren (7-8), who had been on the disabled list with lower back stiffness, pitched well, yielding two runs on three hits over six full innings. The right-hander walked three and struck out three.

Harrison ended up allowing four runs on eight hits in a six-inning effort.

Nelson Cruz smacked a two-run homer, while Michael Young and Elvis Andrus each supplied an RBI for Texas.
