GSTAAD, Switzerland, July 20 (UPI) -- No. 1-seeded Janko Tipsarevic sailed through a straight-set win Friday and into the semifinals of the Swiss Open.

Tipsarevic raced past Jan Hernych 6-2, 6-1 in 62 minutes. Tipsarevic saved both break points that Hernych managed while finishing off five of his nine break opportunities.

Tipsarevic is the only seeded player to reach the Swiss Open semis after Thomaz Bellucci eliminated seventh-seeded Feliciano Lopez 6-3, 6-3 earlier Friday.

Bellucci fired 10 aces and won 62 percent of the points on serve but the difference was that he won half of the points when Lopez served.

Paul-Henri Mathieu advanced over Ernests Gulbis 4-6, 6-1, 6-4. He turned the match by taking two-thirds of the points in the second set and then lost just six points in five service games in the third.

Grigor Dimitrov defeated Lukasz Kubot 6-3, 6-2 in Friday's other quarterfinal. He lost 10 points in nine games serving over the match.

Tipsarevic holds a 3-2 series edge over Mathieu. Bellucci won a tight three-set decision over Dimitrov in their only previous meeting.
