July 16, 2012 at 9:59 PM

DALLAS, July 16 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been arrested on a domestic violence charge, multiple reports indicated Monday.

WFAA-TV and KDFW-TV, Dallas, said the player turned himself in after a female family member was assaulted.

Dallas authorities said the alleged victim did not require hospitalization.

KDFW reported Bryant posted bond and was released.

The 23-year-old receiver confirmed to WFAA there had been an incident, but wouldn't comment further.

Bryant hauled in 63 passes for 928 yards, scoring nine TDs for the Cowboys last season.
