LONDON, July 16 (UPI) -- Roger Federer has become the all-time leader in weeks at No. 1 in the men's world tennis rankings.

Federer used the win a week ago at Wimbledon to reclaim the top spot and tie Pete Sampras for most weeks at No. 1 -- 286 and as of Monday that figure goes to 287. Federer also holds the records for most consecutive weeks on top of the rankings (237) and Grand Slam titles. The win at Wimbledon was his record-tying seventh there and 17th major tournament win overall.

There are no changes in the top tier of the rankings this week but world No. 5 David Ferrer won his fifth title of the year by taking the SkiStar Swedish Open and eighth-ranked Janko Tipsarevic posted his first win of 2012 at Stuttgart, Germany.

Also No. 11 John Isner defended his Campbell's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships crown and the week's fourth tournament -- the ATP Vegeta Croatia Open -- was captured by local favorite Marin Cilic, who is 15th in the world. However, none of those players saw their rankings change.

Federer owns a 75-point ranking edge over world No. 2 Novak Djokovic while Rafael Nadal sits in third at 8,905. Andy Murray is fourth with 7,460 points and Ferrer is fifth at 5,455.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, with 5,230 points, remains No. 6 while Tomas Berdych (4,515) comes in seventh and Tipsarevic is eighth with 3,320. Juan Marin del Potro (3,180) and Nicolas Almagro (2,665) complete the Top 10. Isner is 45 points back of Almagro.

Five Top 20 players, including Almagro and Cilic, are entered into this week's German Tennis Championships. Tipsarevic tops the field at the Credit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad and Isner is the top seed for the BB&T Atlanta Open, which also opens Monday.
