Errani blitzes Strycova for Palermo win

PALERMO, Italy, July 15 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Sara Errani earned her fourth title of year Sunday, dispatching Barbora Zahlavova Strycova to claim the Palermo Women's International tennis event.

The Italian needed only 1 hour, 14 minutes to breeze past the Czech Republic's Strycova 6-1, 6-3 on the clay courts of the Country Time Club in Sicily.

Errani, the ninth-ranked runner-up at this year's French Open, racked up her sixth career WTA title.

She improved to 3-1 lifetime against Strycova with the triumph.
