MIAMI, July 10 (UPI) -- Veteran forward Rashard Lewis will sign a one-year deal to play with the NBA champion Miami Heat, his agent said Tuesday.
Lewis will sign with Miami for the NBA minimum of $1.35 million, agent Colin Bryant told The Miami Herald and Fox Sports Florida.
The shooting forward played in 28 games for Washington last season, compiling averages of 7.8 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Over his 14-year career, Lewis has averaged 38.8 percent from 3-point territory through 934 games with the Seattle SuperSonics, Orlando Magic and the Wizards.
Lewis has averaged of 16.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game during his career.
